Senior Human Services Caseworker (Quality Assurance) PWC DSS is looking for a high‑energy, solution‑focused trailblazer to join our quality assurance team.

You must be well organized, pay attention to detail, and deliver the message with accuracy and empathy.

Role Summary This Senior Caseworker focuses on Quality Assurance across Children and Family Services program areas.

The core duties include interpreting and explaining policy‑related material for Intake, Child Protective Services (CPS), Ongoing, Foster Care, Adult Services, and Adult Protective Services; identifying key performance indicators; and helping staff adjust their work styles to achieve maximum output.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and explain policy for multiple program areas.

Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.

Provide coaching and guidance to staff to enhance quality and efficiency.

Perform quality audits and recommendations for program improvements.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field, or any bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience in a human services area.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work or another human services‑related field.

Experience teaching or training large groups of staff.

5+ years APS, CPS, and Foster Care experience.

Proficiency entering information into OASIS and Peer Place.

2+ years experience in Quality Assurance and Supervision.

Special Requirements

All DSS staff must be available to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster.

Must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks.

Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive for work.

Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Possible after‑hours work for emergencies or special assignments.

Following the first 90 days of in‑person training, telework may be permitted at the supervisor’s discretion.

Hiring Salary Range $76,069.50 to $104,676.00
