As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Hotel Sourcing Manager to join our team, based either remotely or in one of our office locations. Location:
Office-based (Dallas, TX) Job Summary:
As the Meeting and Event Hotel Sourcing Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our events by managing the sourcing and negotiation process with hotels and accommodation partners. Your primary focus will be on securing optimal rates, amenities, and contract terms to meet the specific needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will bring a background in event planning, experience in contract negotiation, and an understanding of the hospitality industry. Responsibilities: Assist in developing the timeline and deliverables for the lifecycle between sourcing and contracting. Identify and source suitable hotels and accommodation options based on client requirements and event specifications. Work closely with account directors and program managers to understand client requirements and provide recommendations for suitable hotel options. Conduct thorough research to ensure selected hotels align with client preferences, budgets, and overall event goals. Create availability reports and hotel presentations to share with clients and aid in the selection process. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate rates, amenities, and contract terms with hotels to achieve the best possible deals for our clients. Facilitate timely resolution of contractual challenges or issues. Contribute to the continuous improvement efforts through refinement of contract management templates and processes. Act as a point of contact for hotel partners and foster strong relationships. Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new hotel developments to make strategic recommendations to the team. Assist the team in keeping our internal venue details and templates up to date. Qualifications: Proven experience in hotel sourcing and contract negotiation within the event planning industry. Understanding of the hospitality industry, including market trends and hotel operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with hotel partners. Understanding of and ability to effect win/win solutions. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficient in using event management and hotel sourcing tools. Prior experience in effectively managing multiple projects/demands. Ability to travel globally as needed. Seniority level
