Description The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing logistics operations, resolving transportation and customer issues, collaborating across departments, maintaining records, guiding staff, and ensuring compliance and efficiency in logistics activities. Key Tasks Resolve transportation and customer issues, collaborate with departments, maintain reports, guide staff, facilitate logistics operations, coordinate supply chain functions, communicate with suppliers and customers, optimize distribution, negotiate rates, analyze costs, ensure regulatory compliance, participate in carrier management, develop risk management strategies, and improve logistics systems. Work Activities Utilize standard procedures, generate and follow exception reports, document shipment details, update routing information, ensure cost accuracy, process carrier claims, and maintain logs. Qualifications Experience & Education : 5-7 years in logistics with increasing responsibility, industry-related degree or certification. Knowledge : Transportation principles, customer service, management, production, safety, personnel management, electronics, training, mathematics, economics, and accounting. Skills : Active listening, personnel management, communication, critical thinking, time management, problem-solving, coordination, judgment, monitoring, reading comprehension. Tools & Technology : Computers, ERP, WMS, CRM, logistics software, office applications. Additional Details : Mid-Senior level, full-time, management role in transportation/logistics industry.
