Ground/Maintenance role at Cushman & Wakefield. Responsibilities
Maintenance of grounds for all lawns, fields, walks, pathways, roads and parking lots at the client location. Mow lawns using hand or power mower; trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls; prune shrubs and trees to shape and remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs. Spray lawn, shrubs and trees with fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides using hand or automatic sprayer. Rake and bag or burn leaves; clean grounds and remove litter. Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; water lawn and shrubs via hose or sprinkler system. Repair fences, gates, walls and walks; clean drainage ditches and culverts. Perform grounds maintenance tasks using a tractor with attachments (mowers, spreaders, lawn roller). Sharpen tools using a file or knife sharpener. Follow all C&W Services and site-specific health and safety rules and regulations; perform other duties as assigned to support C&W Services in delivering service to the client. Basic Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalency. Completion of an accredited apprentice program and/or graduation from a trade school is a plus. Experience: Three years of experience as a groundskeeper; familiarity with grounds maintenance for facilities of similar size and scope; multi-skill set knowledge (landscaping, irrigation, equipment operation, etc.). Other: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; able to operate golf carts and other motor vehicles; ability and willingness to work rotational shifts including days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
