Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Iredell-Statesville Schools
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Exceptional Children, to assist students, teachers, and parents in enabling students to derive the fullest educational experience from school by promoting positive self-esteem and resilience, and providing ABA-guided assessment and intervention in the school setting. Primary Responsibilities
Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Plan Development Teaching and Modelling ABA-based interventions for staff General Program Clinical Guidance (creating proactive strategies) Report writing Providing direct intervention services to clients, as needed Providing training and ongoing evaluation of student’s progress and program effectiveness Serving on the District Autism Team and MTSS Meetings Assist in the identification and placement of students Job Requirements
BCBA Certification LPA preferred 3+ years experience with individuals with autism and/or related developmental disabilities and mental health disorders Experience with severely challenging behaviors and the design and implementation of related assessment and intervention strategies Knowledge of differentiated instruction Excellent management and clinical skills Mastery of ABA principles, theory, methods, and evidence-based practices Knowledge of effective practice, clinical decision-making, outcomes-based intervention, and areas of practice specific to developmental disorders Valid driver\'s license and reliable form of transportation Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Exceptional Children and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computer, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone. Travel
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required. Physical Requirements
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel between schools/sites. Normal routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, reaching, sitting, standing, walking and may also involve above-average levels of activity at times that cannot always be anticipated.
