Trenchless Construction Foreman – Jack & Bore/Tunneling (South Atlanta, GA). Lead specialized crews on jack & bore, tunneling, auger boring, and underground utilities projects with a respected civil contracting company. Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr. This range is provided by the employer. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. What You'll Do
Lead and mentor crews on jack & bore, tunneling, auger boring, and underground utility projects to ensure quality execution and team cohesion Plan and allocate resources for daily operations, maintaining project momentum to deliver on schedule and within budget Oversee pipe jacking, auger boring machine setup and operation, steel casing installation, welding, torch cutting, and tunneling equipment Manage confined space entry and shaft work up to 50 feet deep, following OSHA regulations and safety protocols Maintain safe, organized job sites while coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and inspectors Troubleshoot challenges including unexpected ground conditions and equipment issues Provide training and mentorship to develop crew skills in advanced techniques and safety practices Travel regionally across Georgia and the Southeast; occasional out-of-town assignments required What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience with jack & bore, tunneling, and auger boring 2+ years as a foreman or crew lead on specialized projects Expertise in pipe jacking, auger boring machines, steel casing, and tunneling operations; micro tunneling experience preferred Confined space certification required; deep shaft experience (up to 50 feet) essential Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans Knowledge of construction methods, confined space safety, and OSHA regulations Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Note: HDD-only experience will not be considered.
