Project Manager - Steel Contractor

Base Salary:
$125,000 - $155,000
ZARRELLCO is a leading structural and miscellaneous steel contractor serving general contractors and developers throughout the Bay Area. They specialize in design-build, fabrication, and erection of steel structures for commercial, industrial, and mixed‑use projects.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple steel fabrication and erection projects simultaneously, from estimating handoff through closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
Coordinate with engineering, detailing, fabrication, and field teams to ensure drawings, materials, and timelines align.
Serve as the main point of contact for general contractors, owners, and vendors.
Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Oversee procurement of steel and subcontracted services.
Conduct regular site visits and monitor field progress to maintain safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, and progress billings.
Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication between all stakeholders.
Qualifications
5 or more years of experience managing structural or miscellaneous steel projects, including fabrication and erection.
Strong knowledge of AISC standards, shop drawings, and erection sequencing.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
Proficient with project management software and tools such as MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary of $125,000 to $155,000, depending on experience.
