Annual Bonus Job Description
The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and expanding loan and deposit relationships with small to middle-market commercial clients, professionals, and associations within Austin and the surrounding areas. This role involves business development, credit underwriting, loan documentation, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will maintain strong relationships with existing clients while proactively identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients to generate commercial loans, deposits, and cross-sell opportunities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through active calling, networking, and participation in community and professional organizations. Analyze and interpret financial statements; underwrite and structure credit facilities to meet client needs while maintaining prudent risk standards. Prepare detailed credit memoranda and assist in developing comprehensive loan presentations for management and board review. Ensure that all loans are properly documented, closed, and compliant with regulatory and bank policy requirements. Collaborate with internal partners to cross-sell additional banking services, including investment, trust, residential mortgage, and other financial products. Actively represent the bank in community events to enhance visibility and foster business development opportunities. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of commercial lending experience, including business development, credit underwriting, loan documentation, and portfolio management. Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial relationships. Proven success in developing new business within the Austin market. Strong analytical, credit, and presentation skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management abilities. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards applicable to commercial lending. Benefits
