Job Summary
Responsible for providing a high level of guest service to all guests, team members, and vendors. Ensure the safety and security of the property and its patrons under the direction of the Security Director. Manage security incidents, maintain a visible security presence, observe patrons for violations of regulations and company policies, and uphold professionalism, customer service, and integrity in interactions with guests. Lead shift operations, provide training and guidance to staff, and act as a liaison to first responders and security vendors as required.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provide high level guest, team member, and vendor service.
Manage daily activities of Security staff for assigned shifts.
Schedule rotation of officers across posts and maintain performance, records, and operations.
Oversee property security and company assets; ensure safety of guests and staff; respond to emergencies and diffuse potential problems.
Manage access to the property and restricted areas; ensure proper identification checks for gaming floor admittance.
Maintain crowd control and a positive, professional environment; greet guests professionally.
Document and review written reports; observe and report procedural violations and illegal activity.
Investigate incidents and assist HR and other departments as requested.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; perform routine safety inspections and complete reports.
Assist with department scheduling and payroll as required; schedule daily shift activities.
Provide leadership, training, and development for staff; participate in inspections and audits as directed.
Maintain knowledge of property promotions and events; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
Successful completion of required training programs.
Strong English communication and comprehension skills, both spoken and written.
Ability to assess complex situations quickly and define actionable steps; work well in fast-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
Ability to manage incidents using rational thinking and good judgment; work with guests and team members professionally.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education And Experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer service, law enforcement, military, or security; supervisory experience preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Basic computer skills (e.g., Word) and ability to learn menu-driven programs.
Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license where applicable.
Valid driver’s license with at least three years of driving experience.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Frequently sit or stand for extended periods; walk, use hands, reach, and perform various physical tasks; ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed; talk and hear.
May lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
Noise level is moderate to loud; environment may include flashing lights and observation of players and machines in designated areas.
