Responsibilities
Lead delivery of water conveyance and storage projects for municipal, private, state, Tribal, irrigation district, and Federal clients in the Yakima, WA area. Direct and mentor a team of engineers through the design process; interact with clients to develop and deliver technical conveyance solutions. Act as a seller-doer empowered to develop and manage projects; pursue new work including strategy development, positioning, portfolio and client development, proposing, and negotiating contracts. Serve as a Design Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager; lead technical teams and coordinate resources to accomplish multiple concurrent water infrastructure projects. Plan and manage design and related activities; provide technical support for conveyance systems such as open channels, low-pressure conduits, flow control structures, pump stations, and force mains. Lead projects through all phases: planning, execution, and closeout; ensure scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements are met. Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to business development efforts with key clients and the sales team. Collaborate with local and regional teams; participate in professional growth through project teams and Market Solutions initiatives. Support general project management across a defined client portfolio and contribute to winning new projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Agricultural, Mechanical, Environmental, or related engineering discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required. If not registered in Washington, must obtain within one year of hire. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in related roles. Experience in design management, assistant project management, and/or project management with leadership of project delivery. Ability to lead design and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, studies, proposals, and/or reports. Preferred
Master’s degree in an applicable discipline. 8+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on medium to large water resources projects. Experience serving diverse clients in conveyance pipeline design, project management, and water/wastewater pump station design. Strong regional client network. Benefits and policies
