Project Manager – Windings, Inc.
New Ulm, MN (onsite; options for Eden Prairie, MN). Salary:
$70,000 – $110,000 annual DOQ. Windings Inc. is a 100% employee‑owned company and an ESOP since 1998. We deliver critical motors and components for aerospace, defense, automotive, and medical markets. As an Employee Owner, you will share in our success. What you will be responsible for:
Lead high‑complexity custom motor and generator projects across functions using structured program/project management techniques and a phase‑gate process to achieve quality, schedule/delivery, and cost targets. Act as liaison between global customers and manufacturing sites (Materials Control, Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, AP/AR, Sales, etc.) handling sales, engineering, tooling orders, account questions, complaints, returns, and general queries for assigned accounts. Translate complex or ambiguous customer requirements into actionable project plans. Provide guidance regarding project execution and customer requirements. Mitigate project risks based on manufacturing process knowledge and business acumen. Requirements – What you will need:
Education / Experience
B.S. Degree in an applicable field is preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Project Management Training required; PMP certification preferred. 5‑7 years of applicable experience in an engineered product environment (Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Medical Device, O&G, or other technology field). Proven track record of delivering project milestones related to cost, timeline, and quality. Knowledge / Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; ability to engage customers at all levels. Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and self‑motivation skills required. Working knowledge of English (verbal and written) required. Experience with project management software tools preferred (MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, etc.). Strong financial acumen to influence short‑ and long‑term financial decisions of key projects, including capital expenditures. Ability to document processes, validation, qualifications, protocols, reports, and test methods. Understanding of continuous improvement principles; Six Sigma or other problem‑solving tools preferred.
