Job Description Summary Description:

Ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Import Services (Order Management and Delivery Management) department.

Tasks and Duties

This section lists job-specific tasks and duties, such as the ones listed below, that are completed on a regular basis by the employee. They include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.

Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.

Track and trace Order Management and/or Delivery Management files.

Use workflows on daily basis to manage shipments

Monitor shipment reports to ensure total customer satisfaction

Ensure timely clearance and delivery of freight to customer for Import shipments.

Ensure documents are timely sent and arrival notice communicated to destination for Export shipments.

Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.

Manage intercompany invoice payments (i.e. via AJAX report)

Interact with our customers, arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards including timely and professional communication to customers as well as vendors.

Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (Shipping lines, trucking companies, and others).

Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standard. (OPS), Audit requirements, external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirements.

Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.

Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the DLSOP.

Meet KPI standards, per company procedure.

Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.

Qualifications This section lists desired qualifications of this job and may be edited to the specific job role:

Understanding transportation process of all models is a plus

Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)

6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year, including as needed management/leadership training

Excellent organizational skills, time management skills in addition to a professional manner

Positive and willing to help attitude

Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate.

Additional Information Expected base salary: $22/hr to $24/hr

May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
