Food Quality Control Supervisor
to join a premium food manufacturing company in San Antonio, TX. Position Summary:
Create and update product labels and specifications in accordance with customer requirements and federal regulations.
Perform shelf-life studies, review recipes for compliance, generate ingredient statements, allergen declarations, nutritional information, and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Request, review, and approve supplier documentation.
Support other departments (production, R&D) by providing tools and information to ensure compliance of recipes, processes, and products with regulations and customer requirements.
Assist with quality control tasks such as coordinating USDA inspector requests, reviewing quality control records, performing quality checks, and holding/releasing products based on sensory testing results.
Supervise, monitor, and support a team of Quality Control Technicians.
Assist with third-party audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and/or Food Technology OR prior food QA/QC Supervisory or Team Lead experience.
HACCP, GFSI, and/or SQF certification(s) preferred.
Strong time management and project management skills.
Ability to lead by example and mentor others.
