In response to increasing emergencies such as wildfires and pandemics, California seeks dedicated professionals to make a meaningful impact on public safety. The Homeland Security Division's State Threat Assessment Center (STAC) serves as California's strategic threat analysis hub, supporting leadership and public safety agencies in preventing, preparing for, mitigating, and responding to threats while safeguarding civil liberties. Role Responsibilities
Apply the intelligence cycle to plan, collect, analyze, and produce tactical intelligence products. Utilize law enforcement databases, homeland security platforms, and OSINT research to identify threats and trends. Create threat briefings for policymakers and response agencies. Collaborate with federal, state, and local partners to share intelligence and best practices. Location and Work Schedule
This position is based at the Mather Campus with a hybrid schedule, including up to one remote day per week, with additional in-office days as needed. Additional Requirements
Participation in the DMV Pull Program is mandatory, requiring a valid driver's license. The role is subject to the Conflict-of-Interest Code, requiring Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Emergency response duties may involve irregular hours, travel, and relocation. Department and Organization
