Position Title(s):
Assistant Store Manager and Supervisor Job Summary:
As a member of Management, you will be the heartbeat of our store, responsible for managing daily operations, inspiring a high-performance team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You’ll have the autonomy to shape the store’s success and contribute to our company’s growth. Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop a motivated team. Foster a positive work environment, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure top performance. Customer Experience: Create an exceptional shopping experience by addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high standards of customer service. Sales & Performance: Drive store sales and profitability through effective merchandise management, promotional strategies, and achieving sales targets. Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations. Financial Management: Manage store budgets, control expenses, and analyze sales data to optimize performance and drive revenue growth. Marketing & Community Engagement: Implement local marketing initiatives and build strong relationships with the community to enhance brand presence and attract new customers. Innovation & Problem-Solving: Stay current with industry trends and competitor activities. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance store operations. Additional duties and projects as required. Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable shopping experiences. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in retail management software and basic computer applications. Minimum Requirements
Assistant Store Manager:
Open availability (including mornings, days, and nights); minimum 5 days/week; average 44 hours/week with increases during peak periods. Supervisor:
Availability during hours to open/close the store (mornings, days, nights); minimum 5 days/week; minimum 30 hours/week. All Management: Availability on weekends and holidays; punctuality and regular attendance; reliable transportation; clear English communication; ability to read and write English and perform business mathematics; potential relocation within the company network as needed. Physical Demands
Prolonged standing (approximately 5 to 14 hours per day). During peak periods, long hours may be required (up to 12 hours day). Stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling to stock merchandise; may climb ladders or stairs. Occasional lifting of 5-25 lbs; vision and color differentiation required. Moderately noisy retail environment. Education
High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership strongly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Assistant Manager pay range: $17.38 - $23.50 per hour with bonus opportunities in addition to base pay if store KPIs are met. Supervisor pay range: $18.00 per hour. All roles are eligible for the company 401K plan. Full-time roles will be eligible for medical, dental, vision, sick leave, parental leave, and company-paid time off.
