Summary The
Quality Control Manager (QCM)
will describe all methods, procedures, and documentation needed to fulfill the quality and safety of the contract. The QC manager will identify potential risk areas and will be responsible for the implementation, documentation, and execution of the quality control on the project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities The duties include ensuring projects comply with applicable plans, standards, and specifications, overseeing documentation and physical inspections to maintain quality.
Qualifications - Experience, Education, And Certification
Five years’ experience as a quality control manager on industrial or commercial projects, with federal project experience preferred.
Experience on projects exceeding $500,000, specifically HVAC and electrically heavy projects.
Experience working with the USACE.
Current USACE or NAVFAC CQM certification.
OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment).
Current favorable NACI in accordance with AR 380-67.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
Effective communication in English, both oral and written.
Proficiency with computer tools like Word, Excel, E-mail.
Ability to complete accurate daily QC reports and lead inspections and meetings.
Valid Driver’s License and U.S. Citizenship.
Experience in team development for safe, efficient construction.
Physical Requirements Must maintain physical condition for activities like bending, stooping, climbing ladders, walking on uneven surfaces, and possibly passing a DOT physical and respirator fit test.
Work Environment Work is performed on active construction sites and in office settings, with exposure to weather, dust, noise, and computer use. Occasional travel and off-shift work may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities May include supervision of QC employees or subcontractors depending on workload.
Additional Factors Pre-employment drug screening, background checks, reliable transportation, and eligibility to access secure military areas are required.
