What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Cultivate a guest-first culture, ensuring every interaction is welcoming and efficient; mentor and support Shift Managers and team members through training and coaching; empower teams by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and leading by example; foster open communication and collaboration across all shifts
Support Operational Excellence: Assist in executing store-level strategies to drive sales, guest satisfaction, and profitability; monitor and manage inventory levels, vendor relationships, and cash control; drive promotional execution, ensure food service compliance, and elevate the in-store experience; ensure the store is clean, stocked, and aligned with RaceTrac brand standards
Champion Food Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular food quality checks and coach the team on food safety standards; ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; maintain and organize required documentation for audits or inspections
Drive Results Through Collaboration: Analyze reports, identify trends, and take action to improve store performance; support team scheduling and staffing needs in coordination with the General Manager; provide performance feedback and help drive accountability across the team
What We’re Looking For
3-5 years of experience in retail, food service, or restaurant leadership
1+ year of management experience preferred
Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in high-volume, guest-focused environments
Ability to read and act on business metrics such as P&L, labor, and sales
Must Haves for This Role
High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
Willing to obtain and maintain food handler and alcohol server permits (if required)
