The General Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the organization toward sustainable growth, operational excellence, and fulfillment of our mission. Position Overview

The Operations & Install Manager is responsible for providing leadership, support, and development to their assigned teams. They work closely with other members of the Management Team and HR to oversee day-to-day operations at the Coop, ensuring efficiency and collaboration. This role focuses on optimizing both individual and team performance to achieve organizational goals. They report directly to the General Manager and the Board of Directors to ensure PV Squared operations run smoothly and effectively. This is a full time, in person, salary-exempt role at our Greenfield, Massachusetts office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee team operations to ensure efficiency, quality, exceptional service, and cost-effective use of resources while supporting effective coordination and collaboration between teams and individuals. Participate in weekly Team Meetings, monthly board meetings, as well as Quarterly and Annual Retreats. Communicate clearly with stakeholders, and address any client, vendor, or contractor escalations as needed to the benefit of PV Squared. Support teams with applicable vendor arrangements, subcontractor negotiations and other B2B relationships. Oversee & support the work of Management Committees, as needed. Oversee and engage with the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in best practices that enhance safety, efficiency, performance, and value across individuals and teams. Lead process improvement initiatives, fostering accountability and continuous development to enhance individual and team performance. Actively collaborate with other Management Team members to address issues that overlap between teams and/or across the Coop. Engage in Coop Employee Policy work as outlined in the Decision Making Matrix. Regularly inform the Management Team on progress towards goals, identifying challenges and engaging in collaborative problem-solving when strategies may need to be altered. Engage with annual team budgets and play an active role in budget setting for the Coop. Review and approve monthly expenses of direct reports. Support the Coop’s financial health by monitoring KPIs and performance metrics to ensure progress toward collective goals. Engage with ongoing strategic planning and forecasting work. ○

Business Development/Strategy Apply systems-based approach to problem solving, considering both short-term and long-term impacts on the Coop. Regularly assess After Action Review data, celebrating success and identifying areas for process improvement and individual/team development. Active involvement in solar policy on the Local, State and Federal level, maintaining consistent knowledge and awareness of industry trends. Engage with PV Squared’s partnerships with other member-based organizations such as Amicus and USFWC. ○

Personnel + Professional Growth Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and support to individual team members promoting individual accountability to drive team performance. Establish, measure, and manage team-based metrics and individual performance goals. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary activities as appropriate. Oversee the development and implementation of training and onboarding programs in collaboration with HR. Provide professional development opportunities for employees, building skills and expertise to advance the Coop’s mission. Perform Annual Performance Reviews for all team members, and engage with compensation review processes in collaboration with HR and Management Team. Promote a positive, supportive, and curiosity-driven work culture, in alignment with Coop’s Values and Foundations for Cooperation. Ensure compliance with applicable Local, State and Federal laws. Facilitate and manage the PV Squared Electrical Apprenticeship Program. Operational Responsibilities Operations & Install Manager Accountable for team members and performance of Project Managers, Installation Team, Logistics Team, Service Team, and additional staff members as needed. ■ Effectively oversee all field work, managing individual project expectations and complexities to achieve collective KPIs. ■ Regularly participate in morning crew mobilization, making space for quick check-ins as needed and offering support and encouragement to the team. ■ Foster cohesion and collaboration across the team as a whole, between Crew Leads, and within each crew/truck. ■ Partner with Crew Leads and Project Managers to streamline safe and efficient installations that consistently meet timelines as well as standards of workmanship. ■ Curate and manage the installer training schedule and crew safety program, including training, certification and compliance. ■ Work closely with the Design Lead to ensure all installations meet both internal and external standards for quality and compliance. ■ Quarterly review of QA/QC data to drive improvements to SOPs, implementation of best practices, and learning & development opportunities for individuals and teams. ■ Maintain a thorough understanding of electrical diagrams, including the ability to interpret proper conductor and equipment sizing, grounding and bonding, rapid shutdown, and interconnection requirements. ■ Create and maintain schedule of all installation and service work. ■ Strategically match projects with crews to maximize efficiency, quality, and utilization. ■ Prioritize resource allocation to balance contractual commitments and/or client expectations with the operational needs of the Coop. ■ Identify challenges, and take swift action to problem-solve and pivot as needed, both during and outside of regular business hours. ■ Accurately maintain and track historical schedules. Operations & Logistics

■ Manage Residential Project Managers across full project lifecycle: site ■ Set clear throughput targets and cadence to keep projects moving. ■ Identify and oversee project check-points (pre-install readiness, job completion) to reduce rework and extraneous truck rolls. ■ Manage interconnection and permitting bottlenecks escalating risks early with external stakeholders and AHJs to protect PV Squared's operations. ■ Collaborate with the Logistics and Operations teams to maintain a balanced pipeline of sold projects and buildable work, with an ability to forecast interruptions and mitigate or manage as possible. ■ Oversee Procurement and Warehouse operations, KPIs, and other performance metrics ■ Support Logistics Team with process and planning for inventory ■ Collaborate with members of the Accounting Team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. ■ Oversee Service Team daily operations and performance to KPIs ■ Support service scheduling to maximize safety and efficiency, and address client concerns in a timely manner ■ Identify and communicate lessons learned through repair work that should be implemented in design, install, and/or other areas of the business. ■ Collaborate with members of the Accounting Team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing. ■ Support the continuous improvement of the CRM database, quoting tools, templates, estimating, and other software tools as needed. ○

Build and maintain a solid working knowledge of relevant software and systems utilized by PV Squared, including: ■ Internal Server and file storage ■ Internal Scorecards, Trackers and other KPI measurement tools ○

Additional Expectations Practice organizational skills, task prioritization and have proven methods of self-accountability.
