Summary
The Service Technician III provides service and repair of commercial cooking equipment. The Tech III holds three of four CFESA certifications and is trained in at least two skill sets. They maintain productivity, demonstrate leadership, mentor, train, and lead other team members.
Description
Operate with a 'Safety First' mindset
Troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam-powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment
Utilize tablet to document tasks (parts order, work order, timesheet) promptly
Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and status
Use proper tools for repair, including hand tools and power tools
Monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are available
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms per Heritage standards
Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
Obtain correct part numbers through branch parts personnel
Collect payment on COD jobs
Contribute to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates
Engage in training to enhance skills and knowledge
Perform other duties as required
Required Education | Experience
Must be at least 18 years old
Satisfactory background check and drug screening required
5 years of applicable experience
Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting safety standards
Possess three of four CFESA certifications: electrical, gas, refrigeration, steam

Ability to work independently
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Safe driving record
Work Environment
Lift/move up to fifty pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds with assistance
Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders
Extensive travel to work sites
Exposure to electrical, steam, and high-heat environments requiring safety precautions
Occasional to frequent exertion in high/low temperatures (e.g., kitchens, rooftops, outdoors)
