$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr Responsibilities
Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Champion On-Shelf Availability and manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in-store inventory processes. Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms. Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications that impact front-end and pharmacy on-hand balances and pricing. Execute and maintain front end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, and file claims for warehouse and vendor overages (merchandise received but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed but not received), order errors or damaged goods including prescription drugs. In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, including required system start-ups, cash handling and cashier responsibilities, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. In designated stores, leads as the on-duty leader to resolve customer issues and ensure a positive experience. Models and shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience, including proactive service, identifying needs, and servicing until satisfaction. Operations
Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management, including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders. Scans deliveries in-store (One Box receiving), marks deliveries as received if product was delivered, and coordinates with vendors to correct past undelivered receipts or order errors. Under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge, verifies all pharmacy shipments are posted for products physically received, completes postings for pharmacy warehouse orders, ABC orders, and other orders, and conducts tote audits with reporting of shortages or damaged products. Completes On-Shelf Availability end-to-end process, including warehouse and direct store delivery for planogrammed departments, executing disposals, call-ins, and vendor returns before expiration; completes scan outs and returns for all subscribed departments including pharmacy. Under pharmacist-in-charge, completes pharmacy inventory activities including recalls, vendor returns, non-controlled, and damaged salvage returns; facilitates excess inventory returns or interstore transfers where applicable; verifies posting of all pharmacy/prescription claims. Executes pricing activities including price changes, markdowns, and ensuring accurate pricing with signage; supports basic department pricing and regulatory pricing tasks. Supports front end and pharmacy ordering by ordering expense items; monitors pharmacy manual orders to identify excess orders; maintains consigned inventory as required. Ensures designated pull and quarantine on-hands are updated and placed in the holding area; maintains accurate inventory counts across store areas. Training & Personal Development
Attends company trainings and completes all safety e-learning modules. Obtains and maintains a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by the state. Communications
Acts as a liaison between management and team members by coaching and developing inventory systems capabilities; communicates tasks to team members and reports issues to management when serving as the leader on duty. Basic Qualifications
Six months of prior Walgreens experience (internal) or one year of prior retail experience (external). Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Performance rating of Achieving expectations on last review (internal candidates only) and no disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal). Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and execute. Experience identifying operational issues and implementing corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate. Prefer prior Walgreens experience with an evaluation on file.
