RK&K . RK&K is seeking a dynamic Transportation, Roadway Senior Project Manager (PM) / Project Delivery Leader to join our growing
Texas
team. This is an outstanding opportunity to help build, develop and lead a group of transportation engineers on current and upcoming highway planning and design projects throughout Texas and our broader company portfolio of work. Responsibilities
Lead large and multifaceted transportation design projects in a dynamic, fast-paced team-oriented environment Review and certify engineering plans, models and documents to meet quality control goals and standards Identify and develop design and route options; evaluate options to identify a recommended solution Mentor engineering and technician staff on transportation design tasks Produce and oversee development of conceptual designs and schematics Produce and oversee construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates Prepare for and facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans Direct project staff and sub-consultants on various projects and assignments Serve as liaison between clients and firm Coordinate and develop relationships with clients, consultants, government agencies, and project staff Support proposal and business development efforts Manage contracts, schedules and budgets Required Skills And Experience
Strong understanding of highway design standards, current software and other highway design manuals, trends and guidelines Strong contract management skills (negotiations, fee development, scope development and implementation, invoicing and progress reporting, etc.) Fifteen (15) + years of experience in civil engineering design and/or transportation/highway engineering Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering program Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas (or ability to obtain) Expertise in OpenRoads Designer / Microstation / Geopak / InRoads and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong understanding of AASHTO, State and local design criteria Strong understanding of highway construction means and methods Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver large, complex transportation projects Ability to think strategically and solve complex, multi-faceted problems Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams Preferred Skills And Experience
Proven track record of winning work (preferably with the Texas Department of Transportation) Involvement with relevant Professional Societies What We Offer
