This role ensures consistent application of quality processes, adherence to HACCP, GMP, and IFS standards, and effective implementation of the Document Management System. The Quality Manager leads the Quality Technicians, supports Operations Supervisors, and drives continuous improvement to enhance product quality and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Lead, train, and develop Quality Technicians to ensure high performance and adherence to all quality standards. Partner closely with Operations Supervisors to maintain smooth production and strong quality outcomes. Enforce compliance with HACCP, GMP, and IFS standards, particularly for food-safe printing practices. Ensure coverage of all regulatory and customer-specific compliance efforts. Manage and enhance the Document Management System for consistency and control across procedures. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure consistent quality and adherence to procedures. Monitor and manage quarantined product and disposition processes. Oversee all HACCP activities, including identification and control of critical control points. Lead timely corrective actions for both internal and external quality issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring problems. Data Management & Reporting Maintain accurate weekly quality metrics using the company’s preferred software. Generate and analyze quality performance reports; ensure accuracy and accessibility of all data. Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) requests and customer quality issue resolution. Document all audits, inspections, and compliance activities accurately and consistently. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience. Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and IFS requirements. Experience with document control systems and compliance programs. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication; proven leadership ability. Preferred Qualifications 5–10 years of quality management experience, ideally in flexographic printing or labeling. Demonstrated project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams. Familiarity with GMP audits and food safety compliance in manufacturing. Strong background in customer complaint resolution and continuous improvement. Work Environment & Expectations This role operates in a printing production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, inks, and chemicals. Physical requirements include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexibility is required to meet evolving production and quality assurance needs.
