At Scull Construction, the Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and direction of the construction project(s) depending on level. This person will be part of the Project Leadership Team and may lead the project team, establish project objectives, facilitate communication, and keep all stakeholders informed. The Project Manager will actively engage in the safety, quality, schedule, and financial success of one major project or multiple projects in various locations. Regular interaction will occur with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and owners. The Project Manager will champion the mission, guiding principles, and vision of Scull Construction, striving to represent the TEAM positively. Work with the Business Development and Preconstruction teams to promote and sell the services of Scull Construction. Ensure all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, on schedule, and with high quality. Participate in community events to distinguish Scull Construction as an active and giving member of the communities we serve. Manage cost reports, analyze budget variances, and recommend strategies to lower project costs; review labor quantities and phases for accurate project tracking. Develop preconstruction services and manage the preconstruction process on the projects assigned. Create, maintain, and monitor all project schedules utilizing P6. Facilitate the estimating and bidding of projects as directed by leadership. Guide teams on multiple projects in a semi-rural environment. Nurture client relations. Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Exhibit strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. Contribute to the training and development of TEAM members. Manage multiple projects concurrently ranging from $1 to $85 million. Position Expectations: Willingness to learn and master new tasks, duties, and responsibilities. Be ready to assist with any task, even if it is below your skill level. Pay attention to job details to ensure an acceptable uniform product. Display a positive attitude towards the company, fellow employees, and customers. Job Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum of 5-10 years of commercial construction project management experience (preferred). Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a similar discipline (preferred). Have OSHA 30 certification or complete within 60 days of employment. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and experience with Primavera P6, ProEst, and Procore (preferred). Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Other Requirements: Day and overnight travel may be required. Ability to visit and traverse job sites on uneven terrain. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and random employee pool drug/alcohol testing. Must have a valid driver’s license.
