Responsibilities
Learn to develop, negotiate, and implement strategies that improve supply chain performance, product quality, innovation, and value.
Assist in driving negotiations and executive agreements with suppliers within the Interiors segment (misc. plastics, trims, decals, etc.).
Contribute to the segment business plan and be an active member of the global network of Buyers.
Collaborate with other members of the global supply chain to develop and execute global supply chain and technology strategies.
Use Volvo Production System (VPS) toolbox to drive efficiency across the supply chain.
Assist in driving all relevant activities to deliver on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management targets (QDCFTSR).
Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supply Network Quality (SNQ) and Supply Network Resiliency (SNR) teams.
Monitor and analyze supplier capacity to proactively eliminate potential plant impacts and aftermarket part shortages.
Forecast cost evolution for the scope of responsibility.
Learn to manage and negotiate product/process changes during and after production for revenue segments.
Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics, and financial flows to suppliers.
Qualifications
1–3 years of entry-level purchasing experience, or recent graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience in manufacturing industry is an advantage.
Desire to learn the strategic side of purchasing (supplier negotiation, sourcing, contracts, etc.).
Good business acumen and communication skills, agile way of working.
Desire to work in a collaborative team toward a common purpose.
Eligible to work legally in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Compensation Base pay ranges from $63,100 to $78,000 annually, with bonus eligibility where applicable. The final offer is based on geographic location, experience, skills, and other factors consistent with internal equity.
