Job Description
The Student Success Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Assessments of the Physician Assistant Program to promote student success with a strong focus on student outcomes and timely remediation. The Student Success Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Director of Assessments in collecting, organizing, validating, and evaluating student data, performing meaningful interpretation, and identifying areas of needed improvement, student deficiencies, and program success in compliance with accreditation requirements. The Student Success Coordinator will implement student remediation plans.
The Student Success Coordinator will report to the Director of Assessments and ultimately to the Program Director.
Continued employment is contingent on successful accreditation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide academic instruction and evaluate student performance as assigned including serving as course instructor of record for didactic courses. Support the alignment between what is expected and taught according to the accreditation requirements. Help identify students who do not meet the PA program requirements and assist in the implementation and progress monitoring of appropriate remediation processes to address deficiencies, providing remedial instruction as applicable. Assist with the implementation of ongoing self-assessment. Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation required for accreditation reviews and annual reports, including supporting any documentation in site visits, the Self Study Report, and student records. Serve as a faculty advisor to students and monitor advisee progress in the program. Actively participate in the processes of: developing, reviewing, and revising as necessary the mission statement, goals, and competencies of the program, selecting applicants for admission to the PA program, providing student instruction, evaluating student performance, academic counseling of students, assuring the availability of remedial instruction, designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum, and evaluating the program. Participate in site visits for the purpose of evaluating sites, preceptors, and student experiences, as needed. Support the PA program in ongoing accreditation activities aligned with professional standards. Participate in program committees as assigned by the Program Director. Participate in student training and orientation sessions. Facilitate small group learning activities as assigned. Participate in admissions activities to include prospective student recruitment, evaluation, and selection. Maintain and update educational equipment and online learning resources. Maintain a collegial learning and working environment for the faculty, staff, students, community partners, and other stakeholders. Stay current with trends and developments in PA education and clinical practice. Participate in programmatic events, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the field through scholarly activities, presentations, or publications if applicable. One release day per week for clinical practice or other approved activity if applicable. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Assessments, Program Director, Associate Program Director, or Dean.

Time management, organizational skills, reliability, and effectiveness including timely completion of key deliverables. Address highly sensitive and confidential topics with discretion and professionalism. Strong teamwork including conflict resolution, collaboration, and interpersonal skills which include tolerance, tact, empathy, and diplomacy. Honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining high professional standards. Adaptability including the ability to exhibit self-management, optimism, calmness, flexibility, collaboration, and self-motivation
Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Master’s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited university. Current NCCPA certification. Minimum of three years of clinical experience as a PA.
Annual Salary
$103,000
