The Principal Export/Import Compliance Analyst will proactively oversee export compliance matters. S/he will interact with employees at all levels and work independently and with others in Legal, Contracts & Compliance, and across the business on international trade compliance matters. The role requires managing a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Responsibilities
May serve as an Empowered Official Provide proactive export compliance guidance to program management, contracts, procurement, business development, shipping, security, and other functional areas Prepare and submit DDTC and Commerce license applications, Technical Assistance Assist in research and interpretation of export compliance regulations Manage Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements and Warehousing Distribution Agreements Determine applicability of ITAR exemptions, ECCNs and use of Commerce exceptions Collaborate with in-house attorneys and outside counsel to ensure regulatory compliance Support responses to Customs queries such as CF28s & CF29s Support internal/external audits and investigations Track application status, maintain database of export approvals, satisfy record-keeping requirements, and prepare reports Perform self-assessments Assist in maintaining up-to-date Export Compliance Policies, Procedures and Manuals Plan and conduct employee training Coordinate product reclassification due to export regulatory changes Perform other duties in export classifications, export/import compliance support, and product movement Ability to back up I/E team as needed Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (emphasis on international business or law a plus) Minimum of 8 years of ITAR compliance experience, with progressively more complex responsibilities; working knowledge of Import and Customs Regulations and EAR required Prefer experience in government contracting and international trade compliance areas (e.g., FCPA, Antiboycott, OFAC) Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance ITAR restricts eligibility to U.S. persons. U.S. person definitions include U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee Work Arrangement:
