Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary We are seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee the main logistics function at GM Performance Power Units. This role is focused on the management of inventory, storage, and internal distribution of components and raw materials critical for the manufacturing, assembly, and development of our Formula 1 power unit.

In addition to running the warehouse operation, the role includes responsibility for outbound logistics, including material dispatch, air freight preparation and customs clearance. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring high attention to detail, precision, and a deep understanding of material flow in a high‑performance engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the main warehouse operation, including inventory control and location-based storage systems.

Lead, train, and develop a high-performing stores and logistics team.

Maintain warehouse locations in line with technical, safety, and quality requirements, particularly for serialized, sensitive, or controlled parts.

Oversee the internal distribution of components and raw materials to manufacturing, assembly, dyno, and development areas, ensuring on-time delivery to meet project timelines.

Supervise the preparation and issue of assembly kits containing the correct parts and documentation for assembly teams, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely availability.

Collaborate with manufacturing, assembly, and testing teams, as well as inventory planners and quality, to align material availability with operational priorities.

Liaise with customs brokers and freight partners to manage domestic and international shipments to supply chain partners, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Oversee and manage air freight preparation for fast, reliable, and on-time delivery to Formula 1 Grand Prix events by ensuring correct packaging, labeling, and export documentation, as well as organizing return transport as required.

Required Qualifications

5+ years’ experience managing warehouse and logistics in a high-performance environment (e.g., Motorsport, Aerospace, or Precision Manufacturing).

Proven leadership in managing teams and operations in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.

Deep understanding of inventory control, traceability, internal logistics, and efficient material flow.

Experience with ERP systems and high computer literacy (Excel, inventory dashboards, etc.).

Familiarity with international shipping, customs compliance, and air freight regulations.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities and make confident decisions under pressure.
