Transform Facilities at JLL We’re looking for an
Assistant Facilities Manager (AFM)
to join our IFM team on a large tech client account. Assist the Facilities Manager in the delivery of services to operate and maintain IBM’s Tucson campus, including customer/client services, financial management, facility maintenance, procurement, and supplier management. Develop client relationships with key representatives in supporting IBM's corporate real estate goals and objectives.

Schedule On-site, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This position will be paid overtime with the expectation of availability.
What this job involves The AFM is directly in-charge of building initiatives under the direction of the Senior Facilities Manager. The AFM’s responsibilities include the implementation and execution of programs designed to ensure client and user satisfaction along with the daily management, oversight, and coordination of facility management activities. The AFM will function as liaison between the Facilities Manager and other JLL personnel, our client, vendors, and contractors to ensure thorough understanding and implementation of facility management objectives.
What your day-to-day will look like
Manages, oversees, and coordinates daily facility management activities such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life/safety system, landscaping, exterminating, BMS, etc.
Coordinates with site and contractors to ensure good customer service.
Requests proposals, schedules, and inspects all maintenance and repairs from onsite vendors and contractors.
Works with Facilities Manager in the development and management of the annual operating budgets.
Reviews proposals for repair and maintenance work in accordance with JLL and client procurement policy and operating budget.
Liaises with vendor partner services.
Assists with pilot programs, innovations and special projects.
Performs tours/inspections of the properties.
Establishes working relationships with client and contractors to ensure building services are being provided to the satisfaction of building occupants.
This is an onsite position.
Manages the work order process from creation to reporting.
Works with leadership to process invoices from PO creation to invoice coding.
Creates and edits monthly reports for work orders, budgets, initiatives, and projects.
Provides support for our move management team.
Provides instruction and training to JLL personnel, vendors and contractors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s license required.
Minimum of 3+ years of proven facilities management experience including managing hard and soft services as a 3rd party provider.
Working knowledge of facility systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life/safety system, BMS, water treatment.
Computer proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Tableau, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), SharePoint, etc.
Strong leadership skills, customer service skills and interpersonal skills with associates, clients and vendors.
Knowledge of applicable financial and accounting terms and principles as they apply to commercial property management.
Strong client service orientation with the ability to provide information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and vendors.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, vendors, contractors and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with CMMS such as Maximo.
Associate / Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Self-starter and self-directed.
Outstanding communication, presentation and analytical skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
