Material Control & Auditing Specialist

SUMMARY This role is responsible for managing material control processes, including processing MRB cases, verifying inventory, approving purchase requests, and ensuring accurate material flow to production. The specialist will also conduct regular auditing of material and warehouse inventories and maintain BOM records.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Process MRB (Material Review Board) cases and material requisitions, verifying inventory availability, initiating purchase requests, and tracking material deliveries to maintain uninterrupted material flow to the production line.
Verify matches between production orders, engineering BOM releases, and purchase orders.
Periodically validate critical and low‑stock material inventory.
Perform random checks on critical materials (Door, Tire, Window, ITS, MC) for low inventory items.
Release purchase requests for new projects, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure request accuracy covering full material requirements.
Compare weekly China reports against project production orders to monitor material status.
Coordinate with US and China procurement teams for BOM material delivery status and ETA.
Add or update materials in project work orders when BOM changes occur.
Compile incoming material analysis from various sources for planning and reporting.
Submit material auditing reports to supply‑chain managers and cost accounting within one week after each batch of project move to the next station.
Follow up with engineering, planning, MC, and warehouse to resolve discrepancies and close production orders.
Provide summary and recommendations to management based on audit findings, suggesting continuous improvements.
Audit warehouse inventory monthly (5% of total SKUs) and report results to management by the last Friday of each month.
Maintain BOM and finished‑goods views in SAP (Plant, Purchasing, Accounting, MRP) and update ECN/MR/MRB/Rework records.
Maintain material summary sheets.
Assist team members with project support during staffing shortages.
Conduct material auditing and maintenance training for new employees.

Strong Excel and SAP skills.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Excellent people and organization skills.
Self‑starter with ability to resolve issues efficiently.
Effective cross‑departmental collaboration.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in planning, material management, or supply chain.
Associate degree and at least 3 years of experience in business administration, supply chain, planning, or material management.
Professional certification and at least 5 years of experience in supply‑chain planning or material management.
PAY RANGE $68,400 – $70,000
