Description Team Fishel , the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is looking to hire an
Underground Telecom Foreman
for our
Columbus, Ohio office . This role supports Broadband projects within our Telecom Construction Division. The U/G Telecom
Foreman
will be responsible for assisting the supervisor by leading field crews to meet project goals safely.
The ideal candidate must be able to read prints, plan crew schedules, assist with estimating, coordinate scheduling, permitting, documentation, and communicate with customers.
Responsibilities:
Lead on various size projects
Ensure accuracy of timesheets and expense reports
Develop work-around procedures to maintain crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer issues, lack of materials, absenteeism, etc.
Monitor Quality Assurance and ensure installations meet customer specifications and industry standards
Ensure safety practices are observed by all crews during work
Report, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of a project
Perform site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance, potentially working independently
Requirements & Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A License (highly preferred)
Previous experience working from blueprints and specifications
At least 3 years of experience in conduit placement, fiber placement, manhole and hand hole placement, cable and fiber pulling, and inside conduit work
Experience managing a crew of 4 to 5 workers
Equipment operation experience (backhoe, mini excavator, trencher, plow, etc.)
Limited travel required
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
