Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, forklifts, graders, and conveyors, used in construction. Key Responsibilities
Use appropriate hand tools (screwdriver, drill) and power tools (air drill, impact wrench) to repair, replace or perform maintenance on equipment. Receive equipment, document the condition, schedule maintenance, and keep equipment service records. Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles, and ensure safe fueling and oiling of equipment. Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment and calibration devices. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges. Adjust and maintain industrial machinery using control and regulating devices. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts, and fabricate needed parts from sheet metal. Safely dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. Clean parts by spraying them with solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent. Weld or solder broken parts and structural members using electric or gas welders and soldering tools. Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems. Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs. Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers\' specifications. Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Assist equipment operators in completing daily equipment inspections prior to each use; ensure safety policies concerning equipment operation. Ensure that equipment leaving the job or warehouse is job-ready for the next assignment. May act as a lead and direct other professionals; may supervise work of others; may provide supervision, training development, and performance management of others. Identify and assess improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement efforts; may support, encourage and facilitate others to engage in continuous improvement activities. Participate in and/or lead all safety-related processes and programs as requested. Engage with your work team to achieve zero injuries. Report hazards and concerns to your supervisor or safety professional; use stop work authority if needed. Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor; participate in investigation process as needed. Participate in and/or lead all pre-job work planning and safety discussions. Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or mitigate hazards. Understand and respond to all safety hazards and warning devices (back-up alarms, smell of smoke, warning tags, warning sirens). Follow lockout/tag out procedures; attend site-specific training and follow all procedures as outlined in training. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Use effective verbal and written communication; perform basic arithmetic operations as part of duties. Acts in capacity of a "lead person". Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction. Qualifications

At least 7 years of experience as a Mechanic with strong mechanics knowledge (A level Technician). At least 2 years experience as a manager or supervisor. Working knowledge of industrial construction equipment, machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance. Unrestricted driver\'s license and clean MVR. Must have all necessary tools. Must be at least 18 years of age. Position requires possession of or obtaining a Class A CDL within 6 months of hire. Pre-employment requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search as per regulations. Certifications

Travel may be required. Typical environment includes office, warehouse, laydown yard, and construction site. Requires working in cramped spaces and awkward positions. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, wind, snow, rain, and other weather conditions. Exposure to bright or low lighting, loud noises, hazardous equipment, and heights. Physical Demands
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, and navigate confined/uneven spaces; good vision and hearing required. Full range of motion; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects; repetitive movements. Climb and balance on steel frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
