The Company’s core products are Snapchat, Lens Studio, and Spectacles. We’re looking for a Studio Operations Lead. As a Studio Operations Lead, you’ll be a key player in driving the creative and technical ambitions of our Santa Monica based Global Studio Services team. You’ll work with producers, post production professionals, technical engineering teams, and other disciplines to support media production for multiple Snap Inc teams. What you’ll do

Maintain integrity of physical infrastructure within budget and schedule. Own studio logistic planning and oversee gear inventory and asset management. Responsible for tech upgrades, including firmware updates and hardware repairs. Collaborate with network/infra engineering and security teams to ensure production hardware and software are maintained, running efficiently, and safeguarded. Support the design and implementation of new studios and studio upgrades. Oversee gear prep for onsite and offsite productions. Design organizational layouts and standards for studio equipment and storage. Collaborate with producers, internal partners and vendors to oversee purchases for equipment and technical furniture. Manage and onboard vendors from contract to delivery in accordance with team standards and company policies, cultivating a network of global resources. Apply knowledge of industry trends to improve services and keep leadership informed of status. Communicate and enforce standards, creating new standards as tech and scope evolve. Escalate tech issues in a timely manner to appropriate service owners. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation. Provide detailed project reporting using a ticket tracking system. Oversee the work of in-house post artists and vendors; work with producers and customers to create post schedules and budgets. Create or obtain post budgets and bids and negotiate best services deals. Quality control media files to ensure distribution requirements are met. Coordinate post production technical liaison with cross-functional internal teams. Ensure post production schedules are communicated and delivered on time. Use project management tools to input post project data, communicate with internal partners, and illustrate metrics via dashboards. Maintain a network of post vendors and manage post services with Frame.io, G-Drive, GCP, AWS and other DAM/MAM products. Create and ensure backup redundancies across content libraries and manage, maintain, and upgrade shared network resources, servers and media storage. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Technical production and post experience in a corporate or entertainment field. Technical knowledge of camera, lighting systems and video distribution. Experience developing quality control workflows for equipment and production systems. Experience designing intuitive equipment storage rooms and workflows. Strong interest in tech and agility in learning new products and features. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; strong written and verbal communication. Ability to learn and work across business applications for scheduling, project tracking, vendor management, purchasing, and inventory. Self-starter who works well without supervision, proactively solves problems while maintaining professionalism and communication. Great troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; strong time management to juggle tasks and resources. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and DaVinci Resolve and their proxy workflows. Ability to provide clear creative direction and evoke artistic thinking. Experience with production companies, post houses, studios, and rental houses. Thorough knowledge of linear and nonlinear editing techniques, audio mixing, media file formats, animated GFX, and post gear. Experience managing multiple projects in deadline-driven environments and diverse digital media post workflows. Understanding of audio, lighting, color correction, motion GFX, and keying footage. Experience building and managing post production budgeting and delivery schedules. Experience using project management software to plan production and troubleshooting media management systems. Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of production and post experience in a film, TV or corporate environment. 2+ years of customer support experience in a technical environment. Preferred Qualifications

8+ years of production and post experience in a production or corporate environment with production equipment configuration, operation, and troubleshooting. Bachelor’s Degree in a technical production or creative media field. Experience working in a studio environment or collaborative production setting. Valid California Driver’s License (or ability to obtain). Valid Passport for international travel (or ability to obtain). Ability to safely lift 50 lbs unassisted.
