The Job Details The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for operating a variety of material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise. The equipment utilized in these functions is forklifts, slip sheets, and clamps. The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for conducting training for safe and efficient use of these vehicles. The Team supervisor is also responsible for reviewing order selection and checking as the need dictates. They may also be asked to manage special projects as assigned and/or train office personnel. The Supervisor will be conducting training on how to oversee the planning, development and implementation of all inventory procedures and activities required to meet customer requirements, working within this team to continually exceed USCS's facility and Company goals. The Supervisor works closely with the Superintendent and Warehouse Manager. Supervisors will be in training to learn how to be responsible for the efficient execution of warehouse operations within assigned shifts or teams.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Enter data for quantities of various items in warehouse issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments into computer database.
Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with Leads and management.
Record and monitor all items with shelf‑life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired.
Review monthly reports for cycle count and pick‑list count for monthly highlights.
Supervise and participate in yearly physical inventories.
Inventory supervisor will email or inform employee any task that needs to be completed. Work can also be found in the mail box hanging on the wall.
Assign appropriate personnel to all customer service receipts as requested.
Re‑temp all receipts supplied by customer service.
Check for mixed code dates.
Fix customer take weights.
Locate missing cases by running N‑status reports
Move pallets from cooler to freezer.
Take care of all d‑lots and any issues outside inventory office.
Handle all other warehouse and customer service issues.
Run daily reports and follow through with any outstanding issues.
Investigate all over shorts and damages and verify claims
Conduct all freezer audits
Perform location spot checks for 4 hours of the shift
Clean up damaged locations weekly.
Any good cases ensure they are accounted for
Clear any exposed product and fill out damage sheet

What We Are Looking For Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience
Forklift training
Checking and Loading experience.
Previous inventory experience preferred
Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.
PC and Computer applications (MS Excel, Word etc.)
Other Abilities You Will Need to Have
Good arithmetic, reading, and typing skills
Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
Be able to see, speak and hear
Ability to work overtime as needed
May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.
Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction and company policies.
A starter that can work independently and coordinate with others
Follow safety procedures at all times.
Ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines
