Operation Excellence Manager MCC Label

Overview

We are seeking an Operation Excellence Manager to lead Lean manufacturing initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and mentor manufacturing leadership across our global network of facilities.

Responsibilities

Work with the Lean Steering Committee, Plant Manager, and on‑site Lean experts to identify activities, values, and select Kaizen events, ensuring proper resourcing and preparation.

Link Lean activities to business objectives and develop a site transformation plan with the site management team.

Oversee pre‑event training, prepare events, develop and implement a communication plan, conduct post‑event follow‑up, audit results, and deliver required supplies and materials.

Build and maintain continuous improvement foundations ensuring the effective functioning of transformation activities aligned to a Lean Operating System.

Partner and mentor manufacturing leadership in Lean techniques, achieving transformational progress.

Teach Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Set‑up reduction, Standard Work, Visual Management, SQDC boards, MDI, etc.) to all levels.

Act as a consultant, participant, and/or lead on Kaizen events.

Foster a culture of continuous progress in a changing environment, securing buy‑in and ownership at all levels.

Maintain overall program tracking for impact and cultural improvements.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Operations Management, or equivalent experience.

Three or more years of plant leadership, with at least two years driving Lean manufacturing initiatives in complex facilities.

Strong change‑management skills and experience transforming culture to a Lean environment.

Experience leading and directing employees who are not direct reports.

Proven ability to lead complex transformational activities.

Significant experience implementing complex Lean principles across multiple manufacturing operations.

Led more than 25 Kaizen events.

Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, communicating, and meeting policy deployment goals—improving throughput, shortening cycle time, improving inventory turns, and reducing supply‑chain costs.

At least one transformational experience where Lean was a catalyst and foundation for change, yielding clear, bottom‑line performance results.

Formal Lean training from an accredited organization (e.g., Shingijutsu, TBM, Toyota, Danaher).

Expertise in manufacturing the product type/materials under the position’s span of control.

Private equity Lean transformation experience (optional).
