We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Payroll and Benefits Specialist

to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a

multi-state workforce , as well as administering employee benefits. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of payroll practices, compliance requirements, benefits administration, and hands-on

expertise. Process biweekly payroll for hourly, salaried, commission, and bonus payments across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, while serving as a point of contact for employee benefit questions. Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefit elections. Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and process off-cycle or bonus/commission payments as needed. Prepare and distribute payroll reports, summaries, and reconciliations for internal stakeholders. Monitor and audit benefit invoices, contributions, and deductions to ensure accuracy. Assist with open enrollment, benefits communications, and vendor management. Support compliance requirements, including tax filings, garnishments, audits, prevailing wage reporting, and certified payroll documentation. Provide exceptional service to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism. Qualifications

3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience in a

multi-state environment . Paylocity experience required. Experience in prevailing wage and certified payroll required. Solid understanding of federal and state payroll regulations and benefit administration best practices. High attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll/HRIS systems. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) a plus.
