Civica Law Group, APC has an immediate opening for a certified paralegal with 3+ years of civil litigation experience in our Irvine, California office.This candidate must have their paralegal certificate or degree in applicable paralegal studies and will need to function in many roles and handle multiple tasks. We are a rapidly growing firm, and we are looking for someone who is eager to grow with our team and take on more and greater responsibilities. The areas of practice for this position include the defense of public entities in litigated matters such as general liability, dangerous conditions, civil rights, and police liability.This position will require the candidate to work closely with the litigation attorneys to manage cases by calendaring and monitoring deadlines, assisting with drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions, preparing discovery and medical record summaries, communicating with vendors such as court reporters and experts.The candidate may also assist with preparation for hearings and trials as needed. The ideal candidate will be proactive and versatile, with an interest in local government and public safety.Candidates must be adaptable and possess solid organizational, writing, and analytical skills, with attention to detail.In addition, the right candidate will have the ability to think and operate independently to solve unique issues as they are faced by the firm.
