The state-supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or have behavioral problems, providing campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers. Attend work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or rotating schedule, extended shift, and/or overtime in accordance with agency policy. Ensure the completion of assignments given to administrative assistants. Track completion of in-services and special projects for the unit. Track data collection for management plans and for employee evaluations and activities. Provide ongoing feedback to managers on completion of assignments. Complete monthly reports for various State Office requirements. Schedule meetings and appointments; answer routine inquiries; become familiar with resources at SASSLC. Coordinate activities and projects; report data analysis; prepare and present complex data analysis using available software. Ensure staff are scheduled for and receive all mandatory training within established timeframes. Coach staff when performance or conduct problems are noted and supervise subordinate staff per job descriptions. Participate in disaster response/COOP activation as required. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSAs)

Working knowledge of office practice and administrative procedures; Business English, spelling, punctuation, and math. Knowledge of Windows and Excel; skill in using electronic data and word processing software. Ability to apply departmental rules and communicate effectively; work independently on difficult clerical tasks; maintain complex records and prepare accurate reports. Ability to supervise other administrative staff and coordinate delegation of assignments. Qualifications

Initial Screening Criteria: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Office Management, Legal Administrative Assistance, or Healthcare Administration plus one year of moderately complex clerical/administrative experience; OR graduation from high school/equivalent plus four years of such experience. Additional Information

Applicants must pass fingerprint background checks, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks (CANRS, Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, LEIE). Selective Service registration for males 18–25 where applicable. All state employees are subject to random drug testing. Flexibility in hours; may require overtime, weekends, and holidays.
