Project Manager

has been shaping communities since 1890 and is an employee‑owned construction firm. As a Project Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day construction management for projects of all sizes, ensuring budgeting, safety, quality control, and scheduling are on track.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee the process of issuing subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, monthly payment requests.
Prepare, distribute, and track RFIs, CBs, RFPs, and other change‑issue documentation.
Collaborate with the Superintendent to create and update a detailed project schedule and distribute it to stakeholders.
Manage close‑out activities, including punch lists, O&M, owner training, change orders, contracts, permits, and occupancy.
Schedule, facilitate, and document pre‑ and post‑job and task meetings.
Lead virtual construction and BIM coordination to maximize benefits.
Possess strong knowledge of construction law, contract terms, dispute resolution, and risk management.
Coordinate bid‑day activities with the estimator.
Maintain strong, trust‑based relationships based on dependability and honesty.
Negotiate subcontractor contracts with detailed scope reviews and ethical negotiation.
Demonstrate strong project financial management skills including cash flow, cost awareness, and cost projections.
Lead jobsite safety program, quality processes, and ensure OSHA compliance.
Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and colleagues.
Provide mentoring, coaching, oversight, review, and performance feedback to peers.
Participate in business development efforts, including RFP responses and interviews.
Qualifications
Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
Meticulous organizational skills.
Team player who encourages collaboration.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and mediation skills.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
At least 7 years of experience managing construction projects exceeding $20 million.
Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
Understanding of the complexities and sequences of all construction activities.
Knowledge of construction law, contract terms, dispute resolution, and risk management.
