ClearanceJobs is aiding their customer, a leading WBE-certified and DBE-certified engineering and construction consulting firm, in their search for a skilled Project Manager – Primavera P6 (Level 1 & Level 2). The selected candidate will support complex, mission-critical work at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Ideal candidates will have a background in government, defense, or energy sectors, especially those with U.S. Navy nuclear submarine experience or similar high-accountability roles. Base pay range
$60.00/hr - $100.00/hr Contract Type:
Full-Time 12-month Contract Duration:
1-year minimum, with potential for multi-year extension Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a DOE clearance Per Diem:
Based on LANL-modified GSA rates Qualifications
Strong experience with
Primavera P6
in project management, controls, or scheduling role Experience managing large, multi-phase projects in
federal, defense, or high-security environments Familiarity with DOE, NNSA, DOD, or nuclear industry standards and compliance requirements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and reporting tools U.S. Citizenship (required for site access) Active or eligible DOE security clearance preferred Former U.S. Navy nuclear/submarine or similar military background highly regarded Role Requirements
As a Project Manager at LANL, you will: Develop, maintain, and manage
Primavera P6 project schedules
across various construction, engineering, or infrastructure programs Lead or support integrated project teams and interface with technical, procurement, engineering, and program management staff Translate project scope, milestones, and deliverables into detailed work plans and timelines Perform
critical path analysis, variance tracking, and progress updates Ensure schedules comply with internal standards and are aligned with cost, scope, and performance goals Support
EVMS
(Earned Value Management System) practices and reporting Lead or assist with
baseline development, change control, and impact assessments Generate clear, executive-level reporting and briefing materials Facilitate project meetings and status updates with stakeholders Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies Provide guidance and coordination for junior schedulers or project analysts if applicable Logistics & Travel
Hybrid or partial remote may be considered
for exceptional candidates Per diem applies for the first 90 days After 3 months,
