Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm Compensation:

$22.00-$28.00 based on experience Role and Responsibilities

Reads blueprints to inspect incoming mechanical materials thoroughly. Utilizes quality control processes, sampling systems, and procedures to ensure part conformance to specifications. Ensures QVI incoming quality control product specifications and standards are achieved and maintained. Maintains detailed and accurate record keeping practices. Accepts or rejects parts that are purchased externally or manufactured within the corporation. Works independently and provides guidance and mentorship as needed to Level I inspectors. Utilizes CMMs, vision systems, calipers, micrometers, plug/thread gauges, etc., as well as GD&T. Other related duties or tasks assigned by management. Those who have worked as a mechanical quality inspector, machinist, or in a role that involves mechanical design may do well in this role! Requirements

High School Diploma required. Associate's or bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing or quality-related field preferred. At least 2 years experience in a quality control environment specific to manufacturing and/or mechanical. At least 2 years experience in a machinist role preferred (helpful in this role along with the knowledge of GD&T). Working knowledge with machining practices and sheet metal components. Ability to read mechanical drawings, sometimes of a complex nature. Advanced knowledge of part requirements with very close tolerances - Typical +/-.005mm (+/- .0002 inch) and proficiency in both metric and English systems. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred. Familiarity with QVI/OGP products preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills and effective interaction with team members and other departments. Commitment to being a team player with a flexible, positive, adaptive approach to resolving problems or changes. Working understanding of computer software products such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Proficiency in the use of a CMM, vision systems, calipers, micrometers, plug/thread gauges, etc. Working knowledge of GD&T. Basic understanding of machining practices preferred. Physical and/or Environmental Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to independently and safely move materials utilizing a pallet jack or work cart. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are needed to operate tools. Ability to lift material up to 50 pounds as needed. Ability to manually handle and transfer material parts to and from inspection operations. What We Offer
