Job Summary A Project Coordinator I role supports the successful planning, execution, and close-out of construction projects by providing essential administrative and operational support to the Project Manager and field teams. This role ensures accurate documentation, compliance, vendor coordination, and communication with project stakeholders. The Project Coordinator I will be the central hub of project information, helping to streamline processes and maintain accurate records across multiple construction phases.

Responsibilities

Become an integral member of the Pasco Branch and Construction Services Teams.

Complete thorough training of our Construction Services operational procedures.

Be assigned to work with Project Manager(s) and Superintendent(s) to complete construction projects.

Learn how commercial modular structures are assembled and installed.

Develop relationships with vendors and customers.

Be directly involved with assembling estimates/bids on various projects.

Assist corporate with invoice and collection issues (understanding collection and repossession procedures).

Within 12 Months

Your responsibilities will grow as your knowledge and expertise expand. Opportunities to take classes, share insights, and participate in process improvement discussions will be provided.

Participate in yearly events for 2-3 days to celebrate the previous year, work on improvement plans, and have fun.

Technical Knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Project, Teams, Excel).

General knowledge of design software such as Bluebeam and Adobe.

Understand project plans and specifications.

Turn in submittals from subcontractors to A/E and owner for all scopes of work based on plans and specifications.

Coordinate project change order management, creation, and negotiation between Project Manager and Owner.

Understand prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and union labor rates and requirements.

Maintain open communication among stakeholders and assist with conflict resolution between Owner, contractor, and subcontractor.

High-level understanding of cost coding, budget estimates, and drafting/subcontract agreements; interpret detailed scopes of work.

Navigate project management software programs (Microsoft D365, Procore; SIS Customer Engagement is a plus).

Assist the project team with documenting job progress and schedule.

Create and distribute project closeout material, O&M manuals to the owner once the project is complete.

Assist Project Accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.

Ensure the accuracy of project documentation from RFIs to Submittals, Change Orders, and close-out.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in construction management, business, or related field preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years in a construction or project coordination role.

Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license required; OSHA 10.

Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to manage multiple priorities; attention to detail.
