Industrial Maintenance Facilities Manager
About the job Industrial Maintenance Facilities Manager
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the maintenance department including hourly and salary direct reports
Manage maintenance repair, delegate work and priorities
Equipment management of: furnaces, blasters, sand systems, mixers, conveyors, elevators, heat treat furnace
Facilities maintenance including electrical, lighting, conduit and wiring
CMMS eMaint system management
Strategic manpower planning and management
Work closely with operations regarding PMs and other downtime
Preventative Maintenance Strategy: facilitate internal employees and outside contractors on key product equipment, systems and components PM
Responsible for upkeep, inspection and repairs to all plant cranes
Responsible for upkeep, inspection and repairs to all plant mobile equipment (vendor management)
Maintain substation, high voltage transformers, switchgear and plant water systems
Coordinate power/natural gas/energy curtailments as required
Maintain buildings, roofs, overhead doors, utility piping, low voltage wiring
Capital project/budget management and spend
Manage projects start to finish ensuring proper communication with leadership
Maintain landscaping and grounds, work with landscaping company
Work closely with the Purchasing team to obtain best possible pricing and delivery
Work with EHS to ensure compliance with all environmental permits and OSHA regulations
Responsible for inspection and upkeep of dust collection equipment
Foster effective employee relations and positive employee morale at all levels of the department
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent coordination and attention to detail
General knowledge of machines and tools as mentioned above, including their uses and maintenance as well as using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
Experience inspecting equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or defects
Visualization of how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (i.e. patterns of numbers, letters, words pictures or mathematical operations).
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions
Effective leadership, verbal and written communication skills
Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or foundry industries.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 3-5 years of leadership experience
7+ years of maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing or foundry environment
