Senior Business Data Analyst - AVP

Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst to become a member of the RUBY Business team within Treasury, partnering with Global Process Owners (GPO) in process standardization and design, ensuring these processes are enabled through standard data and technology platforms. The team provides a single interface to technology for Finance and Risk strategic initiatives, enabling a single integrated view of Risk/Finance technology design and architecture and prioritization of technology initiatives. With our technology partners, we drive toward a common infrastructure.
The team operates Citi’s forecast platform used for Interest Rate Risk, CCAR, and internal financial forecasting exercises, supporting regulatory‑required external forecast scenarios and internally focused planning and analytical exercises. This position offers exposure to Risk and Finance processes and interaction with various organizational levels, enhancing analytical, communication, teamwork, negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
Responsibilities
Execute existing forecast processes and collaborate with business and technology partners to identify and develop enhancements, improvements, and new functionality.
Develop technology using a blend of traditional lifecycle and agile approaches for urgent regulatory‑mandated items.
Perform individual analytical work and partner across teams to identify solutions to business inquiries, owning implementation and execution steps to drive open issues to completion.
Pay attention to detail and work within tight deadlines; contribute to team decisions on project prioritization, platform direction and strategic planning.
Define information and refine process requirements in partnership with Global Process Owners, Operations, and Technology, supporting an active forecasting engine while balancing conflicting partner and platform priorities.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Business or Financial Analysis.
Experience analyzing actual and forecast results, especially Balance Sheet and Treasury.
Seasoned experience working with large data sets.
Proficiency with Excel, Access, SQL and Python.
Strong communication and analytical skills, including ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to provide direct guidance and technology consulting.
Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.
Education
Bachelor’s/University degree.
