Job Opportunity: Legal Practice Assistant (Full-Time)

Wilmington, DE Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Legal Practice Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, DE. This is an excellent full-time opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages multiple tasks efficiently, and enjoys taking initiative. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while interacting with all levels of the organization. Responsibilities: File various court documents in the Delaware Bankruptcy courts. Provide administrative support to paralegals and attorneys. Handle client phone calls, schedule appointments, and organize events. Communicate with clients regarding appointments and case-related matters. Process attorney daily time summaries, expense reports, check requests, and travel arrangements. Coordinate and calendar meetings, hearings, court dates, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and other client-related tasks. Assist with client billing using internal systems. Draft correspondence to clients and judiciary. Sort and distribute incoming communications. Proofread work for content and context. Manage vendor invoices and follow up as needed. Organize and maintain both electronic and paper client and office files. Prepare new client and matter forms and handle file closings. Assist with paralegal functions when needed. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience as an administrative assistant or legal assistant, preferably in bankruptcy law and general litigation. Typing skills of 75+ words per minute. Delaware Bankruptcy court filing experience is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and legal software such as Adobe Pro, PDF Docs4, and Docusign. Experience with document management programs (iManage DeskSite preferred). Familiar with processing Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with clients, attorneys, and staff.
