As a Procurement Material Planner at TSMC Arizona, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless material availability for high-volume semiconductor production. By driving supplier management, risk mitigation, and strategic material planning, you will directly contribute to optimizing manufacturing operations and advancing TSMC’s global supply chain excellence.

Responsibilities

Execute Procurement Strategies: Perform procurement strategies tailored to TSMC’s U.S. operations by analyzing regional and global supply markets to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Plan and Forecast Material Needs: Translate production forecasts into procurement plans for raw materials, indirect materials, spare parts, equipment, and services to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Supplier Relationships: Maintain relationships with qualified U.S.-based and global suppliers to achieve quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability objectives.

Mitigate Supply Chain Risks: Follow risk mitigation strategies for critical materials and components.

Digital Procurement Initiatives: Support the implementation and optimization of digital procurement tools and analytics to enhance cycle times and achieve measurable cost savings.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistic, Accounting, Legal, and Finance teams to support new fab ramp-up efforts and ongoing production needs.

Monitor Supplier Performance: Analyze supplier performance metrics, ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and compliance standards, and take corrective action as needed.

Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Participate in improvement projects to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements Education:

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Science for Business, Engineering or a related field.

Technical and Interpersonal Skills:

Procurement Planning Knowledge: Foundational understanding of U.S. supply chain regulations and vendor compliance practices.

Supplier Management: Strong negotiation and supplier management skills to drive quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability objectives.

Analytical Excellence: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

Strategic Thinking: Business acumen and logical thinking skills to develop and implement procurement strategies.

Communication & Influence: Proven written and verbal communication skills, with strong ability in collaboration, negotiation, and influencing stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Expertise: Proactively resolve issues using data-driven analysis and solutions.

Attention to Detail: Focus on accuracy when reviewing contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
