Job Summary Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do The Supply Chain Supply Planner for Raw Materials is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement and availability of raw materials to support production schedules. This role involves demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain raw material supply plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets.
Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and minimize disruptions.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock levels and reduce excess/obsolete inventory.
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues.
Support new product introductions and engineering changes by aligning material availability with project timelines.
Utilize ERP and planning systems to maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) data.
Basics
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in supply planning, preferably in raw materials or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in MRP systems and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar).
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
No driving of a vehicle required.
No travelling required.
100% onsite position.
Preferred
APICS/CPIM certification.
