The Surveillance Shift Manager supervises surveillance activities to ensure casino patrons are not engaged in illegal activities, that soft and hard count operations are conducted in accordance with Internal Control Policies and Procedures and state regulations, and that established departmental policies and procedures for the casino are reviewed and adhered to. As the Surveillance Investigator, the Team Member is responsible for all onsite investigations relating to Surveillance. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist in hiring, retaining, motivating, evaluating, and managing surveillance Team Members, ensuring Team Members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives Enforce department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes Assist in budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas Assist in review strengths and weaknesses of policies and procedures in order to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources Ensure a safe and secure atmosphere/environment for guests and Team Members Research, evaluate, and test surveillance technology in order to develop most appropriate system to achieve security and maintain cost‑efficiency Knowledge of Surveillance Emergency Operation Plan Coordinate surveillance investigation efforts with outside law enforcement agencies to assure proper handling of civil violations of patrons or Team Members; may occasionally appear in court with company attorneys to assist in criminal justice proceedings Implement and monitor emergency procedures to ensure prompt and safe handling of such emergencies as fire, flood, or bomb threats Required to work with operating departments to design and conduct highly sensitive investigations to facilitate fact‑finding and probe into potentially illegal or inappropriate activities Conduct in a professional, courteous, and responsive manner, which reflects positively on company Endeavor to prevent and/or apprehend person engaged in cheating, theft, embezzlement, and other illegal activity Notify department leaders, and where appropriate applicable gaming regulatory agencies, upon detection of illegal activities Identify and understand cheating techniques in gaming and soft count Required Skills And Abilities

Attend required training sessions offered by the casino Obtain required license(s) Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls Responsible for taking the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of Education And Experience

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent, required. One–year prior Casino Surveillance Operator/Agent experience, required. One year supervisory and/or leadership experience in a casino surveillance environment, preferred. Prior knowledge and experience with card counting, basic strategies, preferred. Prior investigative and evidence handling techniques/experience, preferred. Prior knowledge of money handling procedures and experience, preferred. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
