Project Manager, Water Resources

We are hiring a Project Manager in Water Resources to support existing clients and develop new business firm-wide. As a senior member of our firmwide development team, you will lead a variety of transportation pursuits and projects focused on water resources across RK&K’s service areas. Responsibilities include design and management of drainage studies, storm drainage system design, flood studies, stormwater management, and erosion control design.
This role can be remote with required travel to the project site as needed.
Responsibilities
Manage various mid-large sized transportation projects related to water resources, drainage, and stormwater management design for agencies such as: DOTs and related counties
Support business development by contributing to proposals, bids, RFPs, and leveraging current projects/customers
Design and analysis of storm drainage systems
Design and analysis of Stormwater Control Measures (SCM)
Design of sediment and erosion control Best Management Practices (BMP)
Preparation of environmental permit drawings
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited civil/environmental engineering program (or related program)
Ten (10) or more years of water resources design experience
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within six months
Working knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulics principles
Proficiency communicating technical information with staff and clients
Able to work closely with other design disciplines to determine practical solutions
Experience with CAD and water resources modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM
Experience with public stormwater and storm drainage projects
Preferred Qualifications
Fifteen (15) or more years of water resources design experience
Experience completing stormwater/storm drainage projects for cities, counties, and states
Experience managing engineering design and production
Experience with alternative delivery projects
Experience working in multiple states
