Contract Change Manager

with a strong background in estimating, proposal preparation, and negotiations to join our team on complex heavy civil infrastructure projects. The Contract Change Manager will be responsible for the identification, development, pricing, negotiation, and management of contract changes, while providing critical estimating support for change orders and project cost impacts. This onsite role ensures all project modifications are properly documented, communicated, and resolved in alignment with contractual obligations and company objectives. Key Responsibilities

Change Management: Lead the contract modification and change order process from initiation through execution. Review contract documents and project scopes to identify potential changes or claims. Coordinate with field staff, project engineers, schedule engineers and cost control to develop comprehensive change order packages. Maintain a change management log and status reports to ensure transparency and progress tracking. Facilitate discussions and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders regarding change requests. Assume role of Change Manager on an active project. Estimating Support: Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing for requests for proposals, including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and indirect costs. Analyze project drawings, specifications, schedule, and construction means/methods to determine impact of changes. Work closely with the project operations teams to ensure alignment with project budgets and cost strategies. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all change documentation meets contractual requirements and is supported with appropriate backup and justification. Interface with legal and commercial teams as needed on claims, disputes, or time impact analyses. Support monthly forecasting and reporting by providing accurate change-related cost projections. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in a dedicated change management or estimating role. Proficient in construction cost estimating, scheduling, and change order protocols. Experience with construction management software such as Primavera P6, and Bluebeam. Strong understanding of contract structures, risk identification, and cost analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working on public infrastructure or transportation projects (DOT, water, transit, etc.). Prior experience on Federal construction projects is a plus. Knowledge of various contract types (e.g., DBB, DB, CM/GC). Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and claims process is a plus. Additional Information

This position is located onsite in Chattanooga, TN. Per diem or relocation benefits may be available. Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization. The salary range for this position is between

$140,000-$150,000
