Overview We are seeking a Senior Associate Process Engineer (Welding) to join our Manufacturing team in Canoga Park, CA. The facility designs and manufactures rocket engines and power systems that support space exploration and national security.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot critical weldments, ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements, and weld parameters are followed
Document best practices to support production
Assist with root cause analysis and disposition of discrepant hardware
Accurately report problems, solutions, and results
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0–2 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
Practical knowledge of welding and general fabrication
Experience with E.B welding, manual welding, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW
Experience with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ) and setup for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post-weld
Experience with weld specifications
Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications
Ability to move large structures or hardware
Salary ranges: California/Massachusetts/New Jersey/Washington/Greater D.C./Denver/ NYC areas: $72,000 - $133,000. Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Vermont: $62,000 - $115,000. Final offer amount may vary based on experience and location. Benefits include health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. Program availability varies by hire date, schedule type, and collective bargaining agreements.
